Newsdab knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy very seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

Newsdab LLC ("Newsdab”, “Website”, “Site”, “Service”, "we," or "us") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared. This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected by Newsdab when you use the Newsdab Service, how the information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of information. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given them in our Terms & Conditions. In connection with your use of Newsdab, we receive information about you from various sources, including: (i) through your Newsdab user account (your "Account"); (ii) your use of Newsdab generally; and (iii) from third party websites and services. When you use Newsdab, you are consenting to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, transmission, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Newsdab Registration

In order to register for newsdab.com we ask you for your E-mail address, full name and to create a password. We use this information for the sole purpose of creating your profile and to allow our communication with you.

Once you have signed up for www.newsdab.com, a profile is created for you. You have the ability to add a photo as your display image, set your notifications preference, social networks integration with your account, edit bio/description. Please be aware that any personal information you choose to share within these features is viewed by other users of the site. Newsdab is not responsible for the personal information you choose to share within the public area of the site. If you wish to delete/change your display image you may do so at any time by logging into your account and editing your profile.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data tied to information about the user and stored on the user's computer. We use both session cookies, which terminate when a user closes his browser, and persistent cookies, which remain on the user's computer until manually deleted. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

We do not link the information we store in persistent cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site. We may use third-party advertising companies to serve ads on our behalf and to monitor certain pages of our Web site for the purpose of reporting Web traffic, statistics, advertisement "click-throughs," and/or other activities on our site. These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and action tags is completely anonymous.

Facebook Connect Information

If you sign in to the Service through Facebook Connect, you authorize Facebook to provide Newsdab with basic information such as your Facebook user ID, name, email, gender, birthday, current city, profile picture, networks, the Facebook user ID's of your friends who have also signed into the Service through Facebook Connect, and any other information you allowed to be shared with everyone (collectively the "Facebook Basic Information"). You may also give Newsdab access to other information about you and your contacts from Facebook (together with the Facebook Basic Information, the "Facebook Data"). Newsdab will comply with Facebook's policies regarding Facebook Data and respect your wishes regarding the same. User Content and URL Information

Newsdab allows you to provide content to Newsdab, such as the ability to dab and Submit collections of content and uniform resource locators ("URLs"), written descriptions of content or URLs, comments, text, images and video. We may also collect and store information regarding the content in your Newsdab, Twitter, Facebook, and /or Google feeds and the original URL, and associate that information with your Account. We also collect and store (i) the time and date on which the content was first dabbed, submitted, or shared and (ii) information on the channels through which the content was shared, e.g., to other Newsdab users, Twitter followers, Facebook friends, and/or Google connections.

We share certain information about you, such as your username, any avatar or image you elect to post, your Twitter, Facebook, and/or Google username, your reading feeds through Newsdab, Twitter, Facebook, Google, and other Third Party Services, and other information you elect to make public to your followers in Newsdab, your followers on Twitter, your friends on Facebook, and/or your connections on Google. This may include Personal Information, but only to the extent that you decide to share such information with others.

We may retain content submitted by you to Newsdab indefinitely, even after you terminate your Account.

IP Address Information and Other Information Collected Automatically

We automatically receive and record information from the Newsdab application or your web browser when you interact with Newsdab, including your IP address and cookie information. This information is used to facilitate collection of data concerning your interaction with Newsdab (e.g., what content you have clicked on).

Generally, Newsdab automatically collects usage information, such as the number and frequency of users accessing Newsdab, and its various streams of content. We may use this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.

Aggregate Information

We collect statistical information about how people use Newsdab ("Aggregate Information"). Some of this information is derived from Personal Information, such as your location (which, in turn, can be derived from your IP address or through location based services used by your device). This statistical information is not Personal Information and cannot be tied back to you, your Account, your web browser or your Newsdab application.

Clear Gifs Information

When you use the Service, we may employ clear gifs (also known as web beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users anonymously. No personally identifiable information from your Newsdab account is collected using these clear gifs. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make Newsdab better for our users.

Third Party Services

Newsdab uses third party analytics services such as Google analytics to help understand use of the Service. Third party analytics services collect the information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including cookies and your IP address. Third party analytics services also receive this information and their use of it is governed by their Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information and How It Is Shared

We use the personal information you submit to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service.

By providing Newsdab your email address, including by "following," "becoming a fan," adding the Newsdab application, etc., on a third party service such as Facebook, you consent to our using the email address to send you Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in lieu of communication by postal mail. You also agree that we may send you notifications of activity on the Service to the email address you give us, in accordance with any applicable privacy settings. We may use your email address to send you other messages, such as newsletters, changes to features of the Service, or special offers.

Newsdab is designed to help you share information that you or people you choose to follow locate on the web with others. As a result, much of the information generated through Newsdab is shared publicly or with third parties. All Newsdab content is public. Your activity on the Newsdab network is public and can be distributed to anyone that follows you. We may also distribute content and feeds through an email digest to users who have elected to receive such email digests.

Public Newsdab Activity Information:

Some of your activity on and through Newsdab is public by default. This includes, but is not limited to, URLs that you have "dabbed" or URLs submitted to Newsdab. Individuals reading this information may use or disclose it to other individuals or entities without our control and without your knowledge. Therefore, we urge you to think carefully about these actions.

Information You Elect to Share:

In addition to reviewing this Privacy Policy, you should also review the terms of service and privacy policies of any Third Party Services that you access through Newsdab. Newsdab respects the privacy settings/policies that you have selected with Third Party Services, and only shares information consistent with those privacy settings and policies.

You may otherwise access Third Party Services through Newsdab, for example by accessing curated content. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of these Third Party Services, and you are responsible for reading and understanding those privacy policies. This Privacy Policy only governs information collected on or through Newsdab.

User Profile Information:

User profile information including your username, avatars or images you elect to upload and other information you enter may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within Newsdab. We will not directly reveal users' email addresses to other users.

Information Disclosed for the Protection of Us and Others:

We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as it reasonably believes is necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, (ii) enforce these Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations hereof, (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, (iv) respond to user support requests, or (v) protect our rights, property or safety, our users and the public. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and spam prevention.

Information We Share With Your Consent:

Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties, and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.

Account Deactivation

Following termination or deactivation of your User account, Newsdab may retain your profile information and User Content for a commercially reasonable time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. Furthermore, Newsdab may retain and continue to use indefinitely all information (including User Content) contained in your communications to other Users or posted to public or semi-public areas of the Service after termination or deactivation of your Member account. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will delete all of your Facebook Data at your request.

Sending Invitations

If you choose to use our invitation service to invite a friend to the Service, we will ask you for that person's email address and automatically send an email invitation. Newsdab stores this information to send this email, to register your friend if your invitation is accepted, and to track the success of our invitation service.

Newsdab may use certain information about you and/or your User Content internally for purposes such as analyzing how the Service is used, diagnosing service or technical problems, maintaining security, and personalizing content.

Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, Newsdab does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register as Members. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on Newsdab. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. International Data Transfer

Newsdab may transfer information that we collect about you, including personal information, to affiliated entities, or to other third parties across borders and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. If you are located in the European Union or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring information, including personal information, to a country and jurisdiction that does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction, and you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. and the use and disclosure of information about you, including personal information, as described in this Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Service, nor the information or content contained therein. Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Service to another website, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link on our website, is subject to that website's own rules and policies. Please read over those rules and policies before proceeding.

Is Information About Me Secure?

Your Account information (including your Twitter, Facebook, Google or other third-party logins) is protected for your privacy and security. You need to prevent unauthorized access to your account and Personal Information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We endeavor to protect Account information to ensure that it is kept private; however, we cannot guarantee the security of any Account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personally identifiable information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We otherwise store all of our information, including your IP address information, using industry-standard security techniques. We do not guarantee or warrant that such techniques will prevent unauthorized access to information about you we store, Personal Information or otherwise.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make changes in the way we collect or use information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on or within Newsdab or sending you an email. A user is bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses Newsdab after such changes have been first posted. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. It is the responsibility of a user to be familiar with current Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions of Newsdab.
